| Immigrant Visa
| This visa allows you to migrate to the US. The visa will allow you to go to the US to stay with your family / spouse. It also allows you to work and travel freely with a Permanent Resident card and even allows you to apply for Citizenship after a certain amount of years. Fiancé Visa / K-1, K-2 Visa If you are single and have met your partner in person and have no been in a relationship for more then a 2 year period, you will be qualified to apply for this type of visa. This is a single entry visa that allows your fiancé to marry you within the 90 days given on the visa. This visa is called a Non-Immigrant “Intent” to Immigrant Visa. After you have registered your marriage you may then apply for a Change of Status at your local Homeland Security Center or Immigration Center. If this procedure is performed then your spouse will be able to obtain a Permanent Resident Card, Social Security #, Work Permit, and Drivers License/ID Card. Marriage Visa / K-3, CR-1 Visa To apply for this visa you will have to be married to your spouse. This visa will allow your spouse to enter the US and gain a Permanent Resident Card, Social Security #, Work Permit, and Drivers License almost immediately after her arrival if entering on the CR-1 Visa. If entering on a K-3 Visa, your spouse can either wait for the CR-1 Visa to approve and return to their country of residence for their interview with the US Embassy. The second option is if you enter on a K-3 visa you can simply apply for a change of status and wait for your spouse's permanent status in the US. This K-3 visa is to benefit a US spouse to travel freely from country to country verses a Fiancé K-1 visa which has restrictions on traveling. The K-3 visa also allows your spouse to have multiple entries to the US while waiting for her Change of Status. |
